Welcome to Pont Noir
The source of information on moving to, and living in, your new property in la Creuse, France including forums on renovation, la Creuse, paperwork, electrics, property and smallholding. This site is all about living in the Creuse, the best of the three departments of the Limousin. Whether you are currently living in department 23, in the process of buying a property here, seriously thinking about a move, or just dreaming of a better life in France then this is the site for you.
I have no real axe to grind. I don't want your money or even your personal details. I have nothing to sell you - really - you can't buy anything here, so relax. The object is to share our experiences of living in France as expats and to exchange information about some of the things we get up to. I live in the northern Creuse and a pretty rural part of it at that, so the bias of this site is towards a rural, country way of life. It's also Creusois based although many rural areas have the same issues and, of course, many things will be relevant to all of France. I welcome your comments and suggestions about the content either by email or by posting on the forums.
